  3. 1 tbs minced garlic
  4. 1 tbs garlic paste

  6. 1 tsp ground Cumin
  7. 1 tsp ground Coriander
  8. 2 tsp fenugreek
  9. 1 tps Turmeric
  10. 1 tsp Kashmir red chili (mild chili) or 1/2 tsp
  11. 1/2 tsp Cayenne powder (for the amount is
  12. adjust the heat preference to your taste)
  13. 1 tsp salt
  14. For the sauce:
  15. 2 tbs Rice Bran Oil (Alfa one brand)
  16. 3-4 tbs butter
  17. 2 small Onions or 1 large Onion finely diced
  18. 1 1/2 tbs garlic finely chopped
  19. 1 tbs ginger finely grated
  20. 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
  21. 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  22. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  23. 1 tsp ground coriander
  24. 400 g (14 oz) tomato puree (Tomato paste or tomato passata)
  25. 1 tsp Kashmir red chili (Optional for colour &
  26. flavour, it's mild chili)
  27. 1 tsp ground red Cayenne Pepper powder (adjust to
  28. adjust to taste preference of heat)
  29. 1 tsp salt
  30. 1 1/2 cups double thick cream (or 1 cup Coconut Cream Milk)
  31. for lower calories)
  32. 1 tsp brown sugar
  33. 1/4 cup water if needed to thin the sauce
  34. 4 tbs fresh Coriander (Cilantro) leaves to garnish

Instructions to make to make Authentic Chicken Tikka Masala๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒถ๐Ÿฅ

  1. In a bowl combine chicken with all the ingredients for the chicken to marinade. Let it mnarinade for 10 minutes-to an hour or overnight is better.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet or large base pot over medium-high heat. When sizzling add chicken pieces in batches of 2-3 pieces at a time, to seared the chicken to get golden pieces while making sure not to crowd the pan otherwise the chicken will be simmering in juices. Fry until browned for only 3 minutes on each side. Set aside and keep warm.
  3. Melt the butter in the same pan. Fry the onions until soft about 3 minutes, while scraping up any browned bits stuck on the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add garlic & ginger and saute' for 1 minute until fragrant then add garam Masala, cumin, turmeric and coriander, fenugreek. Fry about 20 seconds until fragrant, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree, cayenne pepper powder and salt. Let simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens and becomes a deep brown red colour.
  6. Stir in the cream and sugar through the sauce. Add the chicken and it's juices back into the pan and cook for a furthern 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thick and bubbling. Pour in the water to thin out the sauce, if needed.
  7. Garnish with the fresh herb Coriander leaves and serve with hot steamed Basmati Rice and Naan flat bread or any Flatbread.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹
