- 1 chicken thigh
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 onion
- 2/3-1 tbsp(大匙) soy sauce, 醤油
- 1 tbsp Mirin (Sweet cooking rice wine), 味醂
- 1/2 tbsp cooking sake, 酒
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/3 tsp(小匙) Hondashi (Powdered bonito soup stock)
- 80 cc water
Instructions to make to make [Japanese rice bowl] Oyako-don, 親子丼
- Put "*"-marked ingredients and 5mm-thick sliced onion in a small frying pan.
- Cook it about 2 mins over medium-high heat.
- Add 1 inch-sized chicken into the pan.
- Keep cooking over medium-high heat for around 3 mins so that the chicken is cooked enough.
- Add 2/3 amount of beatened egg, and mix roughly.
- Put a lid over the pan and keep cooking 30 sec over medium-high heat.
- Add rest of the egg, and keep cooking until the egg become half-cooked.
- Put it on cooked rice in a bowl. Enjoy!
